First Sunday
Beholding
Worship gathering
We start the month by looking up. Singing, prayer, scripture, and teaching, all of it pointed at who God is before we get to what we should be doing about it.
If you want to know what this church believes, this is the week to come.
Good for anyone who needs reminding they're not holding the world together.

Second Sunday
Belonging
Common table meal
The door is open and the table is set. A planned menu, everyone bringing part of it, and a long time at the table. This is the week the church is named after.
You don't have to have your story straight to pull up a chair. Bring a dish if you can. Come hungry and bring nothing if you can't.
The easiest first Sunday, especially if church isn't your favorite room to walk into.

Third Sunday
Becoming
Discipleship
Following Jesus is more garden than microwave. On the third Sunday we talk it through around the table, out loud, together. Discussion instead of a talk.
It's life on life, which is slower and harder and works better. We're all still becoming, and that includes the pastor. Especially the pastor.
Good for anyone who wants to grow and would like some company while they do.

Fourth Sunday
Blessing
Outward
The basket is full, so we pass it around. The fourth Sunday points us at our neighbors. We restock and repair the Little Food Pantry, and nobody sits this one out.
It stands outside, by the door. No hours, no form, no questions. Take what you need, bring what you can. On fourth Sundays at 6:30 PM we also set out fresh produce, bread, and meat, since a cabinet can't hold cold food.
Good for anyone who would rather do something than hear about it.
When a month has five Sundays
The fifth one varies
Some months hand us an extra Sunday. We keep it loose on purpose. Watch for the announcement, or write and ask.
